What You'll Do
Shape the culture that makes learning possible. You’ll lead a values-driven community where students are known, supported, and held to high expectations. You’ll coach teachers to build strong classroom culture and implement restorative systems that promote accountability and belonging.
What We Look For
Skilled at building culture and community, coaching adults, and holding a high bar with empathy. Brings emotional intelligence, persistence, and a belief that all students can succeed.
What You'll Do
Inspire and develop great teaching. You’ll coach teachers to deliver rigorous, engaging instruction—building a professional learning culture where adults grow as fast as students do. Every classroom reflects DSST’s high expectations and belief in every learner.
What We Look For
Experienced 6th–12th grade educator with a record of instructional excellence and proven success coaching adults. Brings deep content knowledge, skillful feedback, and the ability to inspire growth across a diverse team.
What You'll Do
Keep excellence running every day. You’ll oversee the systems, logistics, and operations that make teaching and learning possible—from scheduling and safety to events and family communication. You’ll manage the front office team and partner with school leadership to ensure every system reflects DSST’s commitment to excellence and equity.
What We Look For
A systems-focused leader who thrives on organization, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Brings strong communication skills, operational expertise, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach to complex challenges.
What You'll Do
Lead the journey from high school to college and beyond. You’ll build and sustain a powerful college-going culture that prepares every student to access—and thrive in—a four-year college. You’ll coach your team, partner with families, and use data to ensure students graduate ready for their next step.
What We Look For
Experienced professional with at least 2 years in K–12 or higher education, ideally with background in college access or admissions. Brings strong data fluency, team leadership, and relationship-building skills to support students from first application to college success. Deeply believes all students can achieve their most ambitious postsecondary goals.
What You'll Do
Lead through leaders. You’ll partner with your School Director to drive excellence in academics, culture, and systems—coaching DCIs, Deans, and teacher-leaders to deliver outstanding results for students. You’ll turn vision into action each day, creating a school where learning and leadership excel.
What We Look For
Experienced 6th–12th grade educator with at least 5 years in schools and 2+ years in school-based leadership. Skilled at coaching and developing leaders, managing complex systems, and fostering collaboration. Leads with reflection, equity, and a relentless belief in every student’s potential.
What You'll Do
Train to lead one of Colorado’s top public schools. Through DSST’s rigorous leadership development program, you’ll spend one to two years learning side-by-side with an experienced School Director. You’ll lead key systems, coach staff, and strengthen both culture and instruction—building the skills and confidence to step into your own principalship.
Our School Director in Training program is DSST’s principal-preparation pathway for experienced leaders ready to step into a School Director role within 1–2 years.
What We Look For
Experienced 6th–12th grade educator with at least 5 years in schools and 3+ years in school-based leadership at the Assistant Principal or Associate School Director level (or higher). Brings a strong track record of results, reflection, and persistence; ready to engage in deep feedback, lead through others, and champion DSST’s mission and values.
What You'll Do
Lead a school that changes trajectories. You’ll serve as the visionary and culture-setter for your campus—coaching your leadership team, guiding teachers, and partnering with families to ensure every student is known, challenged, and ready for college and life. You’ll steward DSST’s mission each day while building systems and people that deliver exceptional results.
What We Look For
Proven 6th–12th grade school leader with a strong record of driving student achievement and leading adults toward ambitious goals. Completed a Principal/School Director Development Program. Brings strategic judgment, instructional expertise, and a disciplined approach to coaching and accountability. Leads with conviction, humility, and an unwavering commitment to equity and excellence.
