Step 1: Explore Our Schools

DSST has campuses throughout Denver and one school in Northwest Aurora. We serve students grades 6 through 12. To learn more about the unique qualities of our schools, explore our campuses!

Step 2: VISIT OUR SCHOOLS

Open Houses and tours give families and students a closer look into our schools. At Open Houses you can expect to learn about DSST curriculum, our school culture and traditions, and the extracurricular opportunities that we offer our students.

Step 3: Enroll

Denver

DSST Public Schools participates in the DPS SchoolChoice enrollment process and all admissions to DSST Public Schools in Denver are coordinated through the lottery process. To be eligible to attend a DSST Public School you must submit a SchoolChoice form, which will be available online on the SchoolChoice website. Round 1 will be open 10 a.m. on January 11 to 4 p.m. on February 12, 2024.

Aurora

Families interested in attending Aurora Science & Tech Middle or High School must complete an online-only enrollment application, which will be available January 11-February 12, 2024. Enrollment at Aurora Science & Tech is managed through an independently run lottery that takes place in February. Seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Denver

DSST schools in Denver operate fully within the Denver Public Schools SchoolChoice process. In order to enroll at any DSST school in Denver, you must complete this process. SchoolChoice for enrollment in the 2023-24 school year will be open January 13 - February 21, 2023.

Aurora

In APS, students are assigned to their neighborhood middle school unless they actively submit an application and are accepted to a charter school like AST. Enrollment at Aurora Science & Tech Middle and High School is managed through an independently run lottery. Interested families will complete an online-only application.

If there are more applications submitted than seats available, a waitlist will be created. Applicants who submit their application after the application deadline will be added to the waitlist in order of priority. Learn more about enrollment at AST MS and AST HS on their websites.
