Enrollment Process

DSST Public Schools participates fully in the DPS SchoolChoice enrollment process and all seats are assigned as part of the formal lottery process in January. To participate in the lottery, a SchoolChoice form must be completed. Forms will be available at soco.dpsk12.org. You may also complete an application directly with your preferred school or the SchoolChoice office.

Step 1: Pick a school.

DSST has campuses in areas througout the city. We serve students in grades 6 through 12 and accept transfers through 10th grade. Although, our main entry points are in grade 6 and 9, at the beginning of middle school and high school, respectively.

Step 2: Come to an Open House or take a Family Tour.

We invite you to visit a campus before applying through the SchoolChoice process. Each campus offers multiple Open Houses throughout lottery season and several Family Tours are available to allow a look at a school in session. Open House dates will soon be available for reservation. Family Tour availability is limited with sign ups beginning in September 2017.

Step 3: Enroll

DSST Public Schools participates in the DPS SchoolChoice enrollment process and all admissions to DSST Public Schools are coordinated through the lottery process. To be eligible to attend a DSST Public School you must submit a SchoolChoice form.
