About DSST: Green Valley Ranch High School
About Us
Meet the School Director

Katie Ethridge was born in Atlanta, Georgia and has lived in 9 states calling the suburbs of Philadelphia home. From a young age, Katie knew she wanted to be an educator, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education with a focus in STEM Instruction from High Point University. Katie is celebrating the start of her 15th year in education having served as a Teacher, Dean of Students, Associate School Director, and now School Director at GVR High School. Her leadership is fueled by a commitment to DSST’s mission to eliminate educational inequity, keeping students centered in her work. Outside of school, Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and exploring with her dog, Gouda.
