Family Communication & Engagement


  • The Family Association of Montview (FAM) is open to all middle and high school families. There is no cost to join, and everyone is welcome to attend at any time.

    FAM collaborates with our schools to help ensure that all students feel safe, supported, and connected throughout their time at DSST Montview.

    FAM meets on the second Monday of each month from 5:00–6:30 p.m. 

    Location: DSST Montview Middle School

    Connect with other families, build community, and join FAM!

  •  First Wednesday of the month| 8:00–8:45 a.m.
    Meet with School Directors – Ask questions, share ideas, and learn more about what is happening at Montview. Connect directly with school leadership and help strengthen our school community.

money-2 Pay School Fees

DSST’s educational program includes components that are not fully funded through public revenue sources, as a result we need to supplement public sources through charging fees to our students. Each fee supports a specific component of DSST’s program, however we do not want there to be a financial barrier to attending DSST therefore fees are not required for attendance at DSST. Families are encouraged to pay at the beginning of the school year but have the option to work out a payment schedule with the front office team.

Please note: Additional extracurricular activities may require fees to offset the cost of the club and families will be charged accordingly.

Information for College Representatives

DSST MONTVIEW (STAPLETON) HIGH SCHOOL (CEEB CODE - 060604)

We invite college representatives to schedule private visits to the DSST: Montview High School from mid-September through December.  These visits provide a personal touch that may not be available in our school's literature. Representatives inform students about the school's admissions process along with deadlines, campus life, housing, majors available and scholarships. Students have the ability to ask questions and often, this is the chance for our students to meet the person who will read their applications in the future. Juniors and seniors are eligible to participate in these visits and register through the Naviance Program.

Admission representatives should contact Nuvia Mendoza, Director of College Success at Nuvia Mendoza@scienceandtech.org to schedule a visit with DSST: Montview High School students.

Center Program - Knight's Kingdom

We specifically serve students who are qualified with autism spectrum disorders in our community. We are proud to serve 12 amazing students this year and have a team of 6 awesome adults who work together to provide the specific and unique support that each student needs to be successful each day and in the future.

Park Hill Pantry- As a partner pantry with the Food Bank of the Rockies, Park Hill Food Pantry organized as an independent non-profit in 2020 to enable us to better partner with and for our community. Weekly distribution Fridays 1-3pm and Sundays 11am-1pm.

morning-meeting Gifted and Talented Program

 We believe that integrated schools and classrooms help to develop all students academically, socially, and emotionally. Therefore, Gifted and Talented students will receive services primarily through their advisor and identified strength-area content teacher. Advisors will support students in tracking their progress through their affective and academic goals along with supporting students in connecting with extracurricular opportunities to support their development outside of the classroom. Content area teachers will use daily data and normed assessments to support determinations for differentiation and extensions. Gifted and talented students have unique strength areas and interests, along with social/emotional affective needs that need to be met through their education program. Throughout the year, students, teachers and advisors will have a chance to collaborate to help craft goals and reflect on student progress in their affective as well as academic pursuits.
