SUPPORT CONSERVATORY GREEN

At DSST: Conservatory Green Middle School, we are preparing students with the skills they need for college, career and life. DSST: Conservatory Green Middle School graduates will have a strong sense of self, hold STEM skills and mindsets, and be ready for college. In an effort to bring more options of exploration to students, CGMS was able to get access to 32 instruments through the 2023 instrument award from Bringing Music To Life. Our Music teacher, Mr. Dave, has taken on the role of spreading his love of music to our students through the use and teaching of how to play these instruments. In order to maintain this new music program and continue to provide this enrichment opportunity for students, our band program can use fundraising support for the following items:

• Funds to purchase music stands and a rack to store them on - these are very necessary to hold music during rehearsal and performances.
• Music literature and lesson books - We need to purchase lesson books so new musicians can learn their instrument independently as well
• Funds to purchase band sheet music so we can play it all together and perform for our school and other events
• Funds for spare parts and instrument repairs/maintenance. Instruments need maintenance after normal wear and tear and sometimes they break. Having enough funds to get instruments fixed or replaced is key to having working instruments for our students.
• Funds for transportation costs if we ever perform off campus or want to collaborate with other schools for a performance.
