DSST: Cole Middle Schools athletic program is designed to inspire both participation and enjoyment through interscholastic team competition and non-competitive fitness activities. Our program promotes the development of advanced skills, strategic thinking, teamwork, and sportsmanship while cultivating school spirit, character, and joy.
We aim to create an environment where every student feels a sense of belonging, motivation, and achievement, striking a balance between challenge and encouragement. Athletics at DSST: Cole are not just extracurricular activities, they are a vital extension of our curriculum and a powerful expression of our Core Values in action.

Requirements to Participate in Athletics
- Current Physical Examination
- Pay the Annual Athletic Fee of $20, in the office with card, cash or check.

Metro Caring- Their Fresh Foods Market is a free grocery store that welcomes thousands of community members each week to choose from nutritious, culturally rooted, and locally sourced foods.

The Gathering Place- A community program for women and children that ffers a drop-in space where guests can access essential services and find pathways toward greater stability and well-being. Services include:Nap room, Showers and laundry,Hot meals, Mail access, Clothing bank, etc.

The Epworth Foundation- Cole neighborhood community organization that does an annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway for thousands of local families, and a food pantry that is open to the public Tuesdays 11am-12pm and Fridays 11am-2pm.
