To ensure your family and student are fully prepared for the start of the school year, please complete all three steps outlined below. These steps are required by both DPS and DSST to ensure your student’s information is accurate and up to date.
Denver Public schools will be offering online ONLY registration for school year 2019-20, New name: Annual Family Update 2019-20.
Application online will be available starting July 15th
In order to be able to use this application, families must have a parent portal account, if you don’t have one, visit: www.myportal.dpsk12.org and request an account, you will need: student Id number, student’s first and last, student’s DOB and parent email address.
Free and reduce lunch application (FRL) online only will be open Mid July 2019
If your family is completing online registration, you do not need to attend to our registration dates at school, please download the following documents

DSST GVR MS will be offering in-person support for Annual Family Update on:
- Monday, July 29th from 8 am to 3 pm @ GVR MS
- Tuesday, July 30th from 8 am to 3 pm @ GVR MS

Documents families MUST bring on the first day of school August 15th 2019:
- Fees (cash, CC or check, can also be completed online)
- Complete Medication forms (Epi-pen, inhaler)
- Physical if your student is participating in a sport

Online Annual Family Update - (DPS Registration)
You will need your Parent Portal information to complete this process. You will complete all of the major information updating in this step, including immunizations, any changes of address or phone numbers, and other important information. Please contact DPS School Choice at 720-423-3493 for help with this process.
You can complete your Annual Family Update online from July 15th to August 1st
Complete your annual Free and Reduced Price (FRL) Lunch Application Online
- All families must complete this step, regardless of whether or not you qualify for Free & Reduced Price lunch
- Please be aware that ALL applications will be processed online. You must do this on a computer, tablet or mobile device- if you need assistance please come to your school or contact DPS Foodservices at 720-423-5600
Pay your student fee
Student fees are $250 for MS students ($100 if you qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch) and $275 for HS students ($110 if you qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch)
Avoid the wait and pay online for maximum convenience. Options are available online to pay partial amounts if you would like to establish a payment plan or can only pay a portion of the total fee. All school fee amounts go to support computer hardware, software, student activities, trips and supplies for your student.
