New Student Virual Orienatation:

The Orientation will be on May 4th.  During this time, there will be short presentation ,and a time to ask any questions that you or your student may have.

For students who are new to DSST, if you didn’t attend our middle school and are coming to us from another school, please join us from 5:00 to 5:30.

For our incoming freshmen who currently attend GVR Middle school, your orientation will take place in a 30 minute chunk between 5:30 and 7:30.

Time Slots:

  • All new to DSST students and families will log on from 5-5:30 p.m
  • Last Names between (A-H) will log on from 5:35 - 6:05 p.m.
  • Last Names between (I-M) will log on from 6:10 - 6:40 p.m.
  • Last Names between (N-Z) will log on from 6:45 - 7:25 p.

New Student Academy

 New Student Academy is a unique, meaningful opportunity for new-to-DSST students to meet their new classmates and staff members, build community, and learn the ropes of DSST. Attending New Student Academy is the best way to prepare for the start of the school year, and is required for all new to DSST students.

All students will need to be in full dress code, see our current dress code here.

Annual Family Update (Registration)

  • “Early Bird” Annual Family Update – May 1-31 at 4 p.m.Click HERE

Save time during fall registration by quickly updating your student’s information online this spring. The “Early Bird” window for Annual Family Update is May 1 through May 31 at 4 p.m. As you know, all information for current students must be verified with DPS every year. By completing this process online, you avoid paper forms and decrease the time you spend at the school, and in line, during fall registration. In order to participate in the online Annual Family Update, you must have an active DPS Parent Portal account – click here to sign up, or to check that your account is active and ready.

Annual Family Update will also be available this summer beginning July 20. For more information on how to complete Annual Family Update, contact your current school or visit 

  • In person support July 30th & 31th. From 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please bring parent portal credentials to complete it. (Tentative due to Covid-19)
  • All documents will be available by July 20th on our website
