All DSST students complete a trimester-long internship during their junior year. Students gain valuable career exposure while building their professional and transferable skills. They are able to explore future career options before heading off to college, and they forge meaningful relationships with professionals and leaders across the city of Denver.
Interns will spend two afternoons per week at their internship sites over the course of a ten week trimester.
You can make a difference in the futures of our students by becoming an internship mentor.
The Academic Internship Program depends on the dedication of our mentors and community partnerships. Our mentors offer career exposure and create meaningful work and projects for the interns. If you would like to foster relationships with our hard-working, college-bound students and mentor tomorrow's leaders, consider getting involved with our internship program.
We have worked with more than fifty businesses, laboratories, doctors, dentists, and professors to create these life-changing learning opportunities. You and your company could be next.
