Return to School

DSST Daily Health Screener

We are dedicated to keeping our school a healthy and safe place during our Return to School. One of the most important tools we use for both Staff and Students is our Daily Health Screener. Every student who attend In-Person Learning and every Staff member who arrives for work must first complete a very simple health survey to assess whether they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in recent contact with anyone with symptoms or has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days. The Health and Safety of our community is our #1 priority to ensure our Return to School is successful.

What you need to know:

  1. Each morning before a student arrives to school, please complete the Daily Health Screener. The web address is and can be accessed by phone or on any computer with internet access.
    • Your student's login information is:
      • username. (their DSST student email address)
      • password: student ID #/lunch # (6 digits)
    • Choose DSST: Montview MS as their school (or HS if you also have a MTV HS sibling)
    • Answer each question honestly and enter your student's temperature for that morning.
      • If you do not have a thermometer at home, you may choose '0' and we will still check their temperature with our Thermal Scanner
      • If you need a thermometer, we have a limited supply to donate to families. Please contact
    • Once you have completed the Daily Health Screener, you will either have a 'GREEN' screen that indicates your student is safe to come to school or a 'RED' screen indicating your student has failed the screener and should not come to school.
      • All 'RED' screens will be flagged by the Health and Safety Lead, Leo Ruiz.
  2. In order to make the morning arrival process quick and easy, we ask that students display their 'GREEN' screen to staff upon entry. If they do not have their own mobile device, you may email a picture of the screen to: with your student's name in the SUBJECT line.
