At DSST, we are not just preparing our students for college, but reimagining the landscape of public education for all students. Our values don’t just live on our walls, but in the beliefs and actions of every person who walks through our halls. We never let go of the fact that humans are the product of our work.
We are transforming the trajectory of urban education in Denver. Our staff and students support each other, push each other, and grow together.
It is time to reimagine your future. Come join us at DSST, where your life’s work is our mission.
The Teacher Career Pathway (TCP) is a DSST system designed to support teacher growth and development and is an integral part of coaching at DSST. It consists of measurement tools, a career pathway, and performance recognition. By giving teachers the opportunity to receive and reflect on feedback from multiple perspectives, TCP aims to help teachers grow, increase our collective impact on students, and increase career satisfaction.
At its core, DSST Public Schools is a people development organization. We believe that we will best accomplish our mission through the continuous development and engagement of our people, within the context of a values-driven culture, enabling everyone we touch the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.
Our network offers a diverse set of internal and external professional development opportunities that provide teachers, leaders, and support staff with the chance to drive their own growth and development. We believe the opportunity to learn from experts and other educators can provide new ideas, strategies and ways of thinking that are both inspiring and valuable to the innovation and learning cycle.
DSST has partnered with the National Equity Project for our second year to continue to build the individual and collective commitment to equity and inclusion across the network. We believe that by building inclusive teams where individuals feel valued for their unique contributions will strengthen student outcomes and school communities by supporting individual identity development.
Equity and Inclusion is an Organizational Initiative in the Strategic Plan for DSST Public Schools. We will ensure that DSST fosters an inclusive community that encourages and supports each person to become the best version of themselves.
Ensuring that individuals feel a sense of belonging regardless of background is fundamental to DSST’s view of the human condition: each human being strives to be fully known and affirmed for who they uniquely are, and to make a positive contribution to the human story.
Make Your Mark Campaign
DSST Public Schools is committed to hiring teachers and leaders who share the diverse backgrounds of the students we serve. In the fall of 2015, we became a proud partner of Make Your Mark Denver, a collaboration between the Denver Mayor’s Office, Denver Public Schools, and Denver based charter networks to accelerate citywide efforts around the recruitment and retention of educators of color. Please visit Make Your Mark’s website for more information on our partnership and for relocation resources associated with the campaign.
We strive to provide choice in benefits options, and empower employees to make the choices that best meet their individualized, personal needs.
