Volunteers of America: Christmas Baskets

Provides Christmas dinner baskets for pick-up in Denver to individuals and families. Registration will be held online, and will open on Monday, December 7th, 2020 at 8am until all baskets are claimed. Baskets will be available for pick-up on Monday, December 21st, 2020.
Denver Human Services: Adopt-A-Family

Only for residents of the city/country of Denver. The entire family may be given food baskets, meals, small toys, and more. Other local Human Service offices may offer similar services to their county residents.
The Salvation Army: Christmas Resources
Eligibility: Need photo ID, proof of residence (lease, utility bill, or mail received from the school district or another government agency), birth certificate for each child registered, official custody or guardianship papers, clothing and shoe sixes, and a toy wish for each child. No private information is shared with donors.
Must register online. Children and senior adults can be registered and accepted as an angel. Once accepted, their wish list is shared with donors in your community who purchase gifts of new clothing, toys, and other gifts.

Do not email to request a tree. Go online and follow the link to fill out the form to request a tree. The tree giveaway is typically held within the first two weeks of December. Any requests that come in past the distribution will be added to the list for the following year. It should be noted that this agency is located in Colorado Springs but serves the entire state. It is unclear whether families will be expected to pick-up their tree or if it will be delivered, so if this is of concern to you, it may be a good idea to call for assistance.

Parade of Lights
