Registration 2016-17

DSST: College View Middle School will be hosting mandatory student registrations for the 16-17 school year on August 8th and 9th from 11am to 5:30pm. Students whose last names are between A and M will need to attend registration on Monday, August 8th between 11am and 5:30pm. Students whose last names are between N and Z will need to attend registration on Tuesday, August 9th between 11am and 5:30pm. Parent or legal guardian must be in attendance. If you have moved within the past year you must provide a proof of address in the form of a utilities bill, rental agreement, proof of sale or warranty deed. Please also plan on bringing your student’s immunization records and updated physical. If you have any questions whatsoever please call the front office at 303 524 6320. See you soon!

 

DSST: College View Middle School va a tener las inscripciones obligatorias para el año escolar 16-17, el 8 de agosto y 9 a las 11 a.m.-5:30pm. Los estudiantes con apellidos entre A y M tendrán que asistir a la inscripción lunes el 8 de Agosto entre 11am-5:30pm. Los estudiantes con apellidos entre N y Z tendrán que asistir a la inscripción martes el 9 de Agosto entre 11am-5:30pm. Padre o guardián legal debe estar presente. Si ha movido en el último año debe traer un comprobante de domicilio en la forma de un bill de útiles, contrato de alquiler, prueba de venta o escritura de garantía. Por favor, también planea traer los registros de inmunización de su hijo y una forma de física actualizada. Fees are due at the start of the school year on registration day. They may be paid in cash (exact change), check or credit card. If you are unable to pay for fees on registration day or have further questions, please contact the office manager, Caila Criss at 303-524-6320 or at caila.criss@scieceandtech.org

We ask for your support in paying your child's registration fees in order to provide your child with all the benefits of a strong learning environment.

Fee

General Fees are collected from all students to help support programs that are not fully funded by the per-pupil-revenue we receive from the state through Denver Public Schools such as field trips, resources for advisory and planners. $60.00
General Technology Fee The General Technology Fee is a fee collected from all students to maintain an up-to-date inventory of laptops and related software. The fee also covers ongoing technology support and maintenance throughout the year. $150.00
Activities Fee Activities Fees cover some of the costs associated with participating in physical education and student enrichment activities. $40.00

 

However, we never want fees to limit your child's opportunity for an exceptional education. If you family qualifies for, or may qualiufy for free or reduced price lunch, you are eligible to pay discounted fees as follows:

Supply List for 2017-18

2017-18 Supply List for Grades 6, 7, and 8

The school provides dozens of regular supplies, like markers, colored pencils, sticky notes, dry erase markers, scissors, and glue sticks, so that your family does not have to buy those items. Please buy only the following supplies and have students bring these items to the first day of school. If your family will struggle to afford the supplies listed below, please let your student’s advisor know or inform the front office.

Students/families should provide:

  • 30+ pencils (regular or mechanical)
  • A handheld pencil sharpener (if using regular pencils) or extra lead (if using mechanical pencils)
  • Separate eraser (not just the erasers on the pencils)
  • 3-4 different color highlighters
  • Pencil case/bin/bag
  • PE bag (most students use a drawstring gym bag)
  • Laptop case (cannot be a backpack; must be a separate laptop case to fit a 10x12 inch laptop)
  • Independent Reading Book (IRB), which should be a chapter book in a language your student can read by him- or herself

 

Lista de Utiles por Grados 6, 7, y 8

La escuela proporciona docenas de utiles regulares, como marcadores, lápices de colores, notas adhesivas, marcadores de borrado en seco, tijeras y barras de pegamento, para que su familia no tenga que comprar esos artículos. Por favor, compre solamente los siguientes utiles y haga que los estudiantes traigan estos artículos al primer día de escuela. Si su familia tiene dificultades para pagar los utiles que se enumeran a continuación, por favor informe al asesor de su estudiante o informe a la oficina.

Los estudiantes / familias deben proporcionar:

• 30+ lápices (regulares o mecánicos)

• Un sacapuntas de mano (si se usan lápices regulares) o plomo extra (si se usan lápices mecánicos)

• Borrador separado (no sólo los borradores de los lápices)

• 3-4 marcadores de colores diferentes

• Lápiz / cajón / bolsa

• Bolsa de PE (la mayoría de los estudiantes usan una bolsa de gimnasia con cordón)

• Estuche para portátil (no puede ser una mochila, debe ser una caja de ordenador portátil separada para adaptarse a un portátil de 10x12 pulgadas)

• Libro de Lectura Independiente (IRB), que debe ser un libro de capítulos en un idioma que el estudiante pueda leer por sí mismo
